They called ahead before arriving, were friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything clearly, and there were no surprises when it came to pricing.

They resolved the immediate issue and went above and beyond to make sure everything was working properly. Most importantly, they determined that the root cause was actually with the City’s sewer connection rather than my home’s plumbing. That gave me peace of mind, saved me a lot of unnecessary expense and stress, and pointed me in the right direction for the next steps.

With an expanding family we desperately needed a second bathroom. My DIY skills aren’t what they should be so I called various companies for quotes in hopes of completing a second bathroom.

The shower and toilet had been (incorrectly) installed/finished by another plumbing company in Ottawa – Starts with a “O”… So I had to have all the work completely redone. This is where Gentleman Plumbing came in!

Jake was awesome to deal with setting up the job and repairs. He answered all my calls and questions promptly and professionally. They provided an honestly – pretty quick timeline – to my surprise, having the repair to the shower and toilet done inside a week, then returned the following week to finish off with the sink.

Jake and Jonathon were both very accommodating to my concerns after previously dealing with the former company who had left me nervous and unsure of getting the work done. They were kind and understanding of my situation in needed the work done promptly and with minimal supervision as I work two jobs currently.

They finished the work on schedule with their provided timeline and stuck to the budget they provided. It was discovered afterwords they ordered a faucet that was more expensive than expected (not their fault as I provided a few options, and was admittedly undecided). Even then they still honored their original quote!

Price-wise they were a little more expensive than some of the other quotes, but the marginal cost of the service, professionalism, and quality of work was beyond worth it.

We’ve worked with Gentleman Plumbing throughout our home renovation, which has been a complex project. They’ve been excellent at helping us navigate challenges—clearly presenting options, proposing practical solutions, and keeping our goals, budget, and aesthetics in mind. Prior to working with them, we had several poor experiences with other plumbers that caused major issues for our project. Hands down, this company is exceptional. Jonathan (lead plumber) is highly skilled and an excellent problem solver.

To date, they’ve replaced our aging water and sewer lines, future-proofed both systems for a potential ADU, installed a sump pump and storm drain backflow system (which lowered the water table to 2.5 feet below our basement floor and resolved ongoing water issues), built a new downstairs bathroom, repaired a severely compromised water line system, relocated our upstairs laundry, added a new half bathroom, and fully redid our upstairs bathroom.

They are professional, organized, and respectful. I highly, highly recommend this company.

Unfortunately we discovered that our toilet was leaking and gave Gentlemen Plumbing a call over the weekend for help. Given situation, they booked us first thing in the am Monday to assess and hopefully fix. Jake arrived as per schedule and was able to assess the situation quickly and fixed it within the hour. Company provided great service, were very knowledgeable and honest on costs. And the big one, they are charging fair prices for their services. I’m afraid there are far too many companies charging far too much for their services and attempting upsells during service calls. I highly recommend Gentlemen Plumbing and will definitely use them again.

They were kind, courteous and accommodating with our schedule for when we would be in Barrhaven. They were professional and after completing a plumbing inspection, they explained that the discharge line needed to be replaced. They offered 2 quotes and ways to resolve the issue. They didn’t push the more expensive option and listened to our concerns. They completed the job in a timely manner and went above and beyond our expectations.
